Join us on May 28, 2010 for an Alaska cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas. Quiltin’ the Seas will be a great opportunity to combine two things you love: Quilting and Cruising! And the best part: this Alaksa cruise sails roundtrip from Seattle so NO FLYING for our Pacific NW guests!! Peggy Barkle and Arlene Blackburn will be joining us as your featured instructors and you are guaranteed to come home with fantastic new techniques and ideas. Here’s a little something about your AMAZING instructors:

Take a class from Arlene Blackburn—Art Quilter's toolbox is a fun and informative workshop that gives each participant the opportunity to learn ten new techniques. We will incorporate these new techniques into a wonderful small-scale wall quilt that can either utilize the special "cruise-themed" design created by Arlene or feel free to create your own special design. Either way, this class will be packed with fun experimentation with some of the latest products (provided by the teacher) and a few special surprises that will leave you with a refreshing outlook and approach to your own future projects back home. This is a relaxing workshop for all skill levels and allows plenty of time for personal discovery. Visit Arlene at www.deltafiberart.com |

Take a class from Peggy Barkle, Nationally known teacher whose revolutionary technique and book “Blendable Curves” is sweeping quilters off their feet; Giving them a bridge to gap traditional patchwork with original contemporary design, with little to no accuracy. She will take the fear and worry out of curved piecing. Bias will become your friend and NOT the feared enemy you have been warned about.
Peggy “says” she is a self taught quilter with no “degrees” in Textile Design OR color theory…..just a desire to express myself using the techniques I’ve developed over the years. If I CAN DO IT…..anyone CAN! Visit Peggy at www.peggybarkle.com |

The exact agenda is still a work-in-progress but it typically works like this: All your quilting classes and workshops will be held on the sea days and evenings so you have the time in the ports to explore and experience. We make a huge effort to combine the best of both worlds! To see information on your Alaska Rhapsody of the Seas cruise, click these links:
